Interview difficulty level: 7/10 (1-very easy, 10-very Difficult)
Here are the questions we asked from Banreet to know about her interview experience.
Question 1: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).
Answer: Deloitte– There was 1 written round test online, AMCAT. The test was very easy in terms of questions asked, only consideration was doing maximum number of questions in given amount of time(there were no technical questions asked, only aptitude)
BlackRock– 1 round of written test online consisting of only MCQ’s ( from all technical subjects like DBMS, OS, Data Structures etc)
Question 2: Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: Deloitte– there was only 1 round of interview and everyone else was being asked only HR questions. I was the first candidate from COE for interview and they immediately bombarded me with technical questions mostly from the projects I had done (DBMS and Data Structure related) . Though basic questions were asked they wanted full explanation of answers.
BlackRock– 1 proper technical interview which started off with 1 coding question. Then they moved onto my resume asking questions about and from my research papers and projects which intrigued them. There were 2 interviewers from which one was asking questions while the other one was assessing throughout the interview. Very polite interviewers who were interested in the candidate from beginning.
Question 3: Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: Deloitte– only 1 interview in which the HR questions where relevant to which location I would prefer and not much else .
BlackRock– 1 round of HR interview in which the interviewer asked me the 3 mistakes of my life and whether I’ll be able to stay far away from my parents or not. The interview was over in 5 minutes:)
Question 4: What do you think were key factors for your selection?
Answer: My selection in Deloitte was basically due to my enthusiasm for joining the company as well as a very productive technical+HR interview. In BlackRock, the interviewer was impressed by the research paper written by me and the projects done.
Question 5: What would you like to advise juniors for technical skills they should develop for this company?
Answer: Learn to write clean code, do as many projects as you can, publish as many research papers as you can. There are some coding questions which are definitely asked, practice them before hand from geeksforgeeks.
Question 6: What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?
Answer: Don’t try to fool the HR by being cool and over smart, they are way more experienced and have interviewed a number of students like us. Just try to be genuine and be interested in the Company and job. They’ll know if you really want the job or not.
