Here are the questions we asked from Prachi Sharma to know about his interview experience.
Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.
Answer 1:I am a kind of person who believes everything in life can be achieved if you have the right kind of attitude and perseverance that it deserves. I gel well with people and that gives me the right confidence to strike a conversation. In a nutshell, I am just an average girl who knows the right things to do, the right things to say, at the right time.
Question 2: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).
Answer: There was 1 written test and the number and type of questions for each profile were different. For the profile of a Technology Analyst, there were 10 easy technical questions, 10 easy-moderate Logical Reasoning questions, 10 easy questions of Data Interpretation(consisting of 3 sets), 15 questions of Quant,15 questions on verbal ability and 10 regarding your attention to details. The test was pretty approachable and all that it required was speed.
Question 3: Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any).
Answer: After the written test, there was one video interview in which 8 questions(technical, situational, behavioral and guess estimates) were asked. Following that, there was a case+technical interview round. For the case interview, you are given a case study(30 mins prior) where you are supposed to write the algorithm(you should have some knowledge of SQL) and do some analysis of the given data. You have to study the case thoroughly and they’ll ask you questions regarding that. They aren’t much concerned with the answer but the approach. Besides that, they’ll ask you questions related to the subjects you’ve studied by far, questions related to your project(make sure you know every little detail about your project) and you’ll be given some puzzles to solve.
Question 4: Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: In the HR round, you will be asked some situation based questions, some puzzles and some guess estimates. This isn’t a very difficult round to crack. You’ll be asked “Why ZS”, “Introduce yourself” for sure. You reach here if you’ve been through the case interview and that means you’re past the difficult stage. Just be confident. Again, they’re only looking for the approach you follow and not the answers.
Question 5: What do you think were key factors for your selection?
Answer:I believe my confidence and my calm and composed attitude was the key factor in my selection. I had practiced some puzzles and guess estimates so I had a perspective about the approach one should have to solve such questions. Thorough knowledge about project and C,C++ also paid off well.
Question 6: What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?Answer: Do alot of technical projects. Have that one key skill/passion/knowledge that sets you apart from other people. It well help you to drive your interview yourself. Above all, have confidence in yourself. Don’t try to act oversmart and don’t lie- neither about the things you don’t know nor about your personality. The interviewer will easily identify it. Say, “I don’t know” to the things that you don’t know about. Simple as that. Stay calm. Sometimes they’re just trying to check how you handle pressure.
