Here are the questions we asked from Abhishek Nayyar to know about his interview experience.
Question 1:Introduce yourself to our readers.
Answer: I am Abhishek and I have a present CGPA of 8.69 pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computers.
I have been living in Patiala for the past 12 years.
Ever since I joined Thapar, I have been part of various groups and projects which has helped me gain a great deal of confidence.
I was part of the IETE Society for 2 years and during that I organized Technical events and workshops for our Juniors.
Discussing about my hobbies, I love movies, music and gyming.
Question 2:Describe Your written test experience specifying number of rounds ,details of each round and type of test platform(online -amcat,hackerearth etc offline)
Answer: There was one Test Round taken on the online platform-CoCubes. It consisted of MCQs (Aptitude,Technical) and Coding Section(2 Code Questions).
Level of MCQs was balanced between moderate and difficult.
Coding questions were solvable if one has knowledge of basic common DS and Algorithms.
Question 3:Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any)(please share coding questions if possible)
Answer: There was 1 Technical Round in which the interviewer went through my resumé and asked me about my skills in detail.
He then asked me to describe my Top 3 Projects and my contribution in each of them. It included my ongoing Capstone Project and 2 more technical ones.
Then he asked an Electronics question, as I had covered those subjects as well, regarding Microprocessor, which I answered being a little unsure,and one DBMS question,which I was able to answer easily.
He looked convinced and finally asked me about my Skills Rating I had provided in my resumé.
I was confident about my own rating and convinced him the same. He did not have any further questions.
Lastly he asked about Why HSBC? and I spoke convincingly for it.
Question 4:Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round
Answer: There was 1 HR Round which consisted of simple, straightforward questions about my hobbies, favorite thing to do, favorite movies,music as was mentioned in my resumé.

Question 5:Key factors for your selection
Answer: My technical skills but most importantly my confidence in any type of question.
I was able to handle it comfortably because I was speaking the truth in every sense.
Question 6:Advice to juniors for technical skills they should develop
Answer: Java is my strength and showcased it in the correct way.
It’s not always about what skill you have because you can pick up any currently popular skill and absorb it.
It’s about how you can handle the difficult situations and still be able to retain the knowledge to apply it correctly.
Question 7:Advice to juniors for cracking HR round
Answer: I may sound cliche here but it was all about confidence.
As a lot was going through my mind about I may get rejected in the last round even after passing the Technical one and all such thoughts, so I was not going to let it get to me and that’s why I was able to handle it in the right way without panicking.
