Interview Difficulty Level: I would say it was difficult like really good coding questions were asked.

Here are the questions we asked Anish Rajan to know about his interview experience.

Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.

Answer: I’m a 4th year CSE student at Chitkara University. I grabbed an internship at Razorpay. Coding really interests me as it is not something that I do because I have to but because I want to.

Question 2: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round, and type of test platform (online – amcat, hackerearth, etc / offline)

Answer: After getting shortlisted through the eLitmus test in which I scored 83.37 percentile I had a written exam in which there was an MCQ section based on CS fundamentals and then 3 coding questions were asked out of which I was able to solve 1 and a half question and managed to get to the technical round with 15 more people (4 of us were from backend and 12 from frontend)

Question 3: Describe your all technical interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round (if any) (please share coding questions if possible)

Answer: I had 2 technical rounds. The 2nd technical round was mixed with the HR round. In my first technical round questions based on Data Structure and Algorithms were asked. It went for an hour. Then in the 2nd round questions based on CS fundamentals like Operating System(OS), DBMS were asked.

Question 4: Describe your all HR interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round

Answer: My HR round was mixed with my 2nd technical round. There was nothing particular they asked just the basic HR questions.

Question 5: What were the key factors for your selection?

Answer: I think consistency was my biggest factor. Also having a thorough practice of DSA really helped me.

Question 6: What are the things students should focus on in order of priority?

Answer: Data Structure and Algorithms should be your main focus. I would say projects are not that important. You should have 3 good projects. 2 projects should be of medium level and 1 project of a good level. Always remember college will not really teach you things you’ll need in interviews so college should be your last priority.

Question 7: According to you, what role do extracurricular activities as well as participation in societies play?

Answer: I didn’t really take much part in extracurricular activities but I would say one should participate in them, especially tech societies.

Question 8: Any Other Advice you would like to give to your juniors?

Answer: I would say before starting with DSA, work on projects. You should have some projects to show in your resume. And then practice DSA nicely.

Question 9: How can we contact you? (LinkedIn Profile Link/Contact No./etc.)
