Here are the questions we asked Ishani Sharma to know about her interview experience.
Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.
Answer: I am Ishani Sharma from Una Himachal Pradesh, pursuing Computer Science and Business Systems at Thapar University. I did my schooling at Dav Centenary Public School, Una. I also worked in UnsaidTalks in Content Team. I like to read books and do meditation in my free time.
Question 2: Was there any internal CGPA cutoff? If yes, then how much?
Answer: 6.5
Question 3: What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
Answer: The procedure for an intern at Accenture is as follows:
1) Cognitive & Technical Assessment –
90 Minutes 90 questions, no negative marking; candidates who clear C&T will directly move to coding assessment.
2) Coding Assessment
45 minutes: two questions can use any language of your choice (C/C++/Dot
Net/Java/Python)
3) Communication Assessment
The candidate will receive the test link one day before the given date only if they clear the previous round. And its duration is 30 minutes.
4) Interview
1-on-1 interview is the last stage of the process. Candidates had the liberty to choose the interview slot for the given date.
All were Eliminatory rounds except Communication Assessment.
Question 4: Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
Answer: In the C&T part, some questions were very easy, and some were tricky. You only need to focus on time, as time management plays an important role during these exams. In the coding assessment, one should focus on time mainly and try to solve the question only in that language in which they are highly confident and comfortable.
Question 5: Tell us about Interview Round 1 including the questions that were asked.
Answer: Only one interview round took place, an HR round interview. The emphasis of the interview was mainly on the projects you have done and mentioned in your resume and questions related to roles you performed as a team member or a team leader and how you tackle situations like a failure of the project, disagreement of colleagues, and the main questions like what is Accenture and why Accenture that’s it.
Question 6: What were the key factors of your selection?
Answer:
1) Good knowledge of projects & technical skills
2) Remaining calm while answering the questions either during an interview or the assessment test
Question 7: What are the things students should focus on, in order of priority?
Answer:
1) Time management
2) Technical skills
3) Speaking skills or communication skills
Question 8: According to you, what role do extracurricular activities as well as participation in societies play?
Answer: Societies play an essential role in the personal development of individuals, and a lot of exposure is obtained, which helps a lot
Question 9: Were there any companies you got rejected from after appearing for their interview? If yes, then tell us about your rejection story and what do you think were the reasons for your rejection?
Answer: No
Question 10: What message would you like to give to your juniors regarding the stress they go through during placement season?
Answer: The internship/placement journey is very stressful. Sometimes when you see your friends getting interned or placed, it gives a lot of stress, but the only thing one should focus on at that time is a strong belief in them that they can also do that and achieve everything they want. All they need is to remain calm and patient.
