Kunal Mittal’s Maruti Suzuki Interview Experience

Interview Difficulty Level:  The difficulty level was about to 6-7. If someone has its basics clear, he/she can easily crack the interview.

Here are the questions we asked Kunal Mittal to know about his interview experience.

Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.

Answer:  I am Kunal Mittal and I am from Sangrur, Punjab. Currently, pursuing my Bachelors of engineering in Thapar Institute of technology and Engineering, Patiala.

Question 2: Was there any internal CGPA cutoff? If yes, then how much?

Answer: 6.5

Question 3: What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

Answer: 
Online Test of shortlisted students (Technical, Aptitude & Psychometric)
Presentation Round and Personal Interview Round (Technical + HR)

Question 4: Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

Answer: There were two rounds of test. The first one was the Aptitude and if you clear the first round, then you will be promoted to the second round which was the MCQ based technical round; basics of OOPs, DBMS, operating system, and some codes were asked.

Question 5: Tell us about Interview Round 1 including the questions that were asked.

Answer:  There was only one round of interview which was both technical + HR which lasted about 30-40 minutes. Firstly, in we were given a presentation template, and we had to make a PowerPoint Presentation where we had to tell us about ourselves and tell them what we have done in these 4 years of engineering and then tell them how I am different from others, and we have to speak on the presentation for about 10 minutes.

After that some technical questions like write down a SQL query, some basics of OOPs like polymorphism.

Some basic HR questions were also asked: If you were given the same offer in Infosys and Maruti Suzuki, which offer would you take? Why should we hire you?

Question 6: What were the key factors of your selection?

Answer: They just check your confidence and want to see if the person is capable of some work by checking what you have done in your 4 years of engineering and are your basics of CS fundamentals clear. And If you have that confidence in you, you can get easily selected.

Question 7: What are the things students should focus on, in order of priority?

Answer: You should revise your CS fundamentals on a daily basis, and your communication skills should be proper at the time of the interview.

Question 8: Any other advice you would like to give to your juniors?

Answer: Do not take too much stress of placement season. Keep your basics clear, and at the end, you will get selected on some day in a good company.
