Here are the questions we asked Lovish Jindal to know about his interview experience.
Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.
Answer:I am Lovish Jindal.I am a fourth year student of Enc branch .I was the discipline head of the youth welfare club.i am currently placed in Amadeus at the SDE role.
Question 2: Was there any internal CGPA cutoff? If yes, then how much?
Question 3: What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
Answer:Coding round+SHL+ 1interview(technical) round+1hr round
Question 4: Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc.)
Answer: The coding round consists of 2 coding questions primarily from DSA.
Question 5: Tell us about Interview Round 1 including the questions that were asked.
Answer: There was only one interview round which collectively comprised of the technical as well as the HR round.The interviewer mainly asked questions on the projects and due to thorough explanation of the project much technical questions weren’t asked outside the project.
Question 6: Tell us about the HR interviews (if any) specifying the number of rounds and questions asked.
Answer: One HR round was conducted in which they asked first about the introduction then about the family and about the hobbies .Then they asked about what is Amadeus and why you want to join Amadeus.and then asked about whether you’ve previously appeared in any other interviews before or not .
Question 7: What were the key factors of your selection?
Answer: The project played a major role in the selection process. The interviewer was quite impressed due to thorough explanation of the project as it showcased good knowledge of the interviewee.
Question 8: What are the things students should focus on, in order of priority?
Answer: Topics such as DSA should be well focused on for the coding round. Moreover, students should be prepared with at least 2 good self-made projects and should be thorough with their projects.
Question 9: According to you, what role do extracurricular activities, as well as participation in societies, play?
Answer: I was the discipline head of the youth welfare club which did add on the traits of discipline as well as boosted my confidence.
Question 10: Were there any companies you got rejected from after appearing for their interview? If yes, then tell us about your rejection story and what do you think were the reasons for your rejection?
Question 11: What message would you like to give to your juniors regarding the stress they go through during placement season?
Answer:There is no need to take stress . whatever will happen will happen for good. I wasn’t under any pressure of my family because of which I was quite chill during the interview which thus resulted in a fruitful outcome.
Question 12: Any other advice you would like to give to your juniors?
Answer: You should be well prepared with DSA and should do your project yourself so that you can answer any question asked by the interviewer related to the project.
