Here are the questions we asked from Madhav Goyal to know about his interview experience.
Question 1:Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).
Answer: It was a single round test on SHL platform. It consisted of 2 sections. The first was Verbal ability consisting of questions that were to be answered based on passage. The second section was Numerical Ability consisting of questions that were to be answered based on given graph. Solving questions fast was the key.
Question 2:Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any).
Answer: There were 2 rounds:
Round 1 – The interviewer asked me to introduce myself. Then he asked me which data structures I was comfortable with. I told him that I was comfortable with trees. Then he asked me to code a family tree which I did. Then he asked me to write code for finding the first cousins of a node. I explained him the approach and wrote the code for same. Then he asked me about my project from resume.
Round 2 – This round was purely based on projects written in resume. I showed him my project which I had hosted on the server. Further interview was based on this project. He asked me about the technologies used and reason for using them. Then he gave me scenarios related to my project and asked me how I would handle those. He seemed satisfied with my answers.
Question 3:Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: There a single HR round and it was the last round. The interviewer asked me to introduce myself. Then she asked me to explain my projects on the resume. Then she asked me if I had any plans for higher studies, to which I replied in negative. Then she asked me about the challenges faced during team projects and how I handled those. At last, she asked me if I had any questions.
Question 4:What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?
Answer: Don’t fake anything and tell the truth. Be yourself.
Question 5:Any Other Advice you would like to give to your juniors?
Answer: Keep learning new technologies and expand your skill set. For cracking the online rounds of companies focus on data structures and algorithms. Geeksforgeeks is a good site for practice.
