Question 3: Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any).

Answer: 3 Rounds General Pattern:

  • Round 1: 5-6 standard puzzles, 4-5 aptitude questions.
  • Round 2: 4-5 puzzles, difficulty level higher than round 1, can also be a stress round.
  • Round 3: not compulsory. My process went entirely different, first round entirely resume based, one case study and just one aptitude question, I had worked a lot in marketing and strategic planning field. I did my own startup, won competitions at NSIT, and made it to the top 4 at Amazon Marketing Internship, where rest three were from IIM’s. So first round was based on that, and then a marketing case study in which I was asked to increase the profitability of a credit card companies based on different marketing strategies that I will implement.

Question 4: Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.

Answer: My first round went for 15 mins, which I have described above. My first round went really well so I was directly sent to the second round. where I was asked two puzzles, both of them were new to me, I solved the first one correctly, I misunderstood the second one but then I was able to explain the approach, and that is what they are looking for. And that’s it, I was done in 5 minutes.

Question 5: What do you think were key factors for your selection?

Question 6: What would you like to advise juniors for cracking Technical round of this company?

Answer: Work on Aptitude, because you need to clear the first round, try puzzles yourself, don’t just memorize them, and even if you know the answer to the puzzle, don’t just answer it instantly, act as if you are trying to solve and then answer. Rest work on building your resume, you can work in societies if you like, or look for things outside which interest you, internships, competitions, skills, languages, games anything.

Question 7: What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?

Answer: Be confident, prepare for basic questions differently, companies are looking for people who are different. And if you really looking for NON-Tech consulting or analytics job, then try ZS associates and EXL, don’t go for Deloitte, because the profile offered by Deloitte is completely technical, rather go to better tech companies if you have to do technical job, and Deloitte is more of a mass recruiter these days, so look for ZS and EXL.
