Job Location: Gurgaon

Branch and Graduation Year: ECE – 2022

Cgpa Cutoff: 7.0

Interview Difficulty Level: It was very basic. I would rate it 4-5. (1-very easy, 10-very difficult)

Here are the questions we asked Priyanshi Jain to know about her interview experience.

Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.

Answer: My name is PriyanshiJain and I am from Electronics and Communication branch. I got a full-time offer from Optum and an internship offer from Publicis Sapient. I have a cgpa of 8.27.

Question 2: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round, and type of test platform (online – amcat, hackerearth, etc / offline)

Answer: It was an online test that had two sections aptitude and technical. The aptitude consisted of verbal and quantitative and it was MCQ based. The technical round was divided into two parts in the first part there was one coding question which was the rainwater trapping problem of arrays and the second part was MCQ based.

Question 3: Describe your all technical interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round (if any) (please share coding questions if possible)

Answer: I had a technical +HR round. The interview started with discussions on projects. Then they asked me about my skills. I was given two coding questions which were easy. OOPS was also asked.

Question 4: Describe your all HR interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round

Answer: The HR question asked to me was suppose you have to work in a team and two of the team members don’t want to work and all the pressure comes on you then what you will do.

Question 5: What were the key factors for your selection?

Answer: 1. C++
2. Projects
3. I was clear with the basics.

Question 6: What are the things students should focus on in order of priority?

Answer: Have good projects. Be well aware of your resume. Have good knowledge about OOPS, DSA and DBMS. Maintain a minimum CGPA of 8.

Question 7: According to you, what role do extracurricular activities as well as participation in societies play?

Answer: Honestly it places no role in placements. It matters only if you are into technical societies. It only helps in boosting your confidence and increases your connectivity with seniors.

Question 8: Any Other Advice you would like to give to your juniors?

Answer: Brush up on your C++, DSA skills and make good projects.

Question 9: Many of the students think that if they maintain a CGPA above 9 they will definitely get placed. Please reflect on this.

Answer: I don’t think CGPA plays much role, to be honest. If you are aiming at very high companies like Arcesium and DeShaw then definitely you should maintain a cgpa 9 above. Knowledge about computer subjects matters more than CGPA does.
