Interview Difficulty Level: It was neither very easy nor too difficult, so I would rate it 5.5 (1-very easy, 10-very difficult)
Here are the questions we asked Riya Gupta to know about her interview experience.
Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.
Answer: I’m Riya Gupta, a final year student pursuing Electronics and computer engineering at Thapar and currently placed in ZS Associates.
Question 2: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round, and type of test platform (online – amcat, hackerearth, etc / offline)
Answer: There were three sections in the written round. The first section consisted of 45 aptitude-based questions with a time limit of 50 mins. The second was the comprehension section where there was a passage, and 8 questions were to be answered based on that. It was based on concepts of innovation, entrepreneurship, and software engineering. The last section was an artificial intelligence video interview in which there were some guestimates and random questions. There was a specific cut-off to proceed to the next section.
Question 3: Describe your all technical interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round (if any) (please share coding questions if possible)
Answer: It was a case study round which was divided into 3 parts: For the first one hour, they explained what the case study was all about; for the next one and a half hours, questions were asked based on the case study. The final round was an interview based on my answers to the questions asked in the second round, and my resume was discussed.
Question 4: Describe your all HR interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round
Answer: The HR round was taken by a ZS leader. He asked me some real-life problems, guestimates, and puzzles.
Question 5: What were the key factors for your selection?
Answer: For my selection, I consider the strong knowledge of DBMS concepts and the experiences I gained being a CR and SPR, which helped in my overall personality development.
Question 6: What are the things students should focus on in order of priority?
Answer: For this particular job profile, I would say that one should focus on DBMS, and the next is your overall personality development, as they just wanted to know how you would react in a particular situation.
Question 7: According to you, what role do extracurricular activities as well as participation in societies play?
Answer: I consider that extracurricular activities are equally important along with CGPA as they help to develop new skills and improve interaction skills.
Question 8: Any Other Advice you would like to give to your juniors?
Answer: Work hard for your goals and maintain a balance between CGPA and extracurricular activities.
