Here are the questions we asked Sanskar Verma to know about his interview experience.
Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.
Answer: My name is Sanskar Verma and I am currently pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering at Thapar University with an overall CGPA of 8.80. Talking about my college years, in the first year I was a part of Electronics society IETE where we were taught about microcontroller sensors and embedded systems. In my second year, I got promoted as a mentor in IETE where I was sponsored for handling a team of 15 students. I have been to several hackathons.
Question 2: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round, and type of test platform (online – amcat, hackerearth, etc / offline)
Answer: There was no written test. There was resume shortlisting. The shortlisted candidates were called for an interview.
Question 3: Describe your all technical interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round (if any) (please share coding questions if possible)
Answer: There were questions based on arm controller architecture and communication protocols like UART. Theoretical questions from C, C++, and OOPS(Object Oriented Programming) were also asked. Their main focus was on our projects. They expected us to be very thorough with our projects.
Question 4: Describe your all HR interviews specifying the number of rounds and details of each round
Answer: There were no behavioral questions. It was a complete discussion on my projects.
Question 5: What were the key factors for your selection?
Answer: 1. Good with technical skills. You should be good at both hardware and software knowledge.
2. Stay calm during the interview.
Question 6: What are the things students should focus on in order of priority?
Answer: 1. Be well versed in Embedded Systems.
2. Improve your programming skills.
3. Focus on making good projects.
Question 7: According to you, what role do extracurricular activities as well as participation in societies play?
Answer: Societies help us in our communication skills, how to network with people. If you are in some tech society then you gain a lot of knowledge in your field.
Question 8: Any Other Advice you would like to give to your juniors?
Answer: Participate in as many hackathons as possible. They provide us a lot of exposure for handling difficult situations and coming up with innovative solutions and we learn a lot in those 24 hours. Build good projects and improve your programming skills.
