Here are the questions we asked from Satvik Gupta to know about his interview experience.

Question 1:Introduce yourself to the readers.

Answer: My name is Satvik Gupta. I live in Bulandshahr,UP. I am pursuing my graduation in Computer Science as a major from Thapar University. So during my B.E.,I developed interest in Competitive Programming and Web Development.Apart from technical side ,I like reading novels ,dancing and listening to rock music.

Question 2:Describe your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).

Answer: Round 1 – Online Aptitude Test
Duration-45 mins
Pattern- There were 5 sections namely 1) Aptitude, 2) C Programming, 3) Data Structures and Algo, 4) OS Internals 5) Electronics. All sections were mandatory. Each correct answer gets awarded 1 mark and each wrong answer will result in a penalty of 0.25 marks.

Question 3:Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any)(please share coding questions if possible).

Answer: Round 2 (Technical Round 1)- It started with my brief introduction,then interviewer asked me about one of my projects and then we move towards coding part.He asked me to share my code editor and write code on it. He asked basic questions about toggling a bit at kth position and copying the character array.Then he further took the discussion towards operating systems ,oops concepts and programming fundamentals.This round was of about 1 hr. Round 3 (Technical Round 2) – This round started with one of my projects in web development as the interviewer was also from the same background,so we had a discussion about back end framework of website,then he took the discussion to coding part. I was asked two coding questions, 1) Sort the ages of population ,he wanted a O(n) sorting technique ,I wrote counting sort for the same ( . He was satisfied with the solution.
2) Find unique paths in matrix with obstacles.( gave him the dfs solution.
Then he asked me some questions about operating systems and computer architecture like virtual memory,process vs threads,load and store instructions and so on.This round also goes for about 1hr.

Question 4:Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.

Answer: Round 4 (Managerial Round)- This round was shorter than previous rounds and last about 40mins,he started with my introduction look through my resume,we had discussion on my projects and my inclination towards web development.Then he asked me to give a algorithm to store a data stream from a given source address to destination address,at first i was confused but then i was able to give him the solution.Then he asked me a puzzle ,Car Wheel Puzzle (

Round 5 (Directorial Round)-This round was about of 30mins duration.It was a general discussion round nothing technical,we had discussion about my future plans,my achievements in hackathon,my interests during my graduation,about my projects and how I find my interest in a particular domain.

Round 6 (HR Round)-This round was also about of 30mins,it started of with introduction,then it move forward to discussion on basic HR questions like Where do you see yourself in 5 years,Why WDC , my hobbies ,strengths ,weaknesses and so on.

Question 5:Key factors for your selection.

Answer: *Practice
*Smart Study
*Hold on Data Structures and Algo.
*Friend and Family Support.

Question 6:What are the things students should focus on in order of priority?

Answer: *Thorough understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
*Coding Practice on Platforms like Codechef,Hackerearth etc.
*Any development skill maybe Web or App Development,Machine Learning etc. (Projects)
* Core subjects knowledge: OS,DBMS,CN,OOPS.

Question 7:Advice to juniors for technical skills they should develop.

Answer: The most difficult task to crack any company is to crack its online coding round,so coding is the key,students should dive deep into programming concepts and practice a lot.Apart from it,he/she should also develop his interest in Web or App Development or Machine Learning,Cyber Security etc. So that they can do some good projects and can also hone their skills by participating in hackathons too.

Question 8:According to you, what role does extra curricular activities as well as participation in societies play?

Answer: Everything we do in our life never goes in vain.So performing the extra curricular activities helps us a lot in building our overall personality. Also participation in socities like CCS,Google Developer’s Club gives student a platform to showcase and explore their skills.

Question 9:What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?

Answer: Be real.The person sitting at front of you is a experienced one,he knows about all the cliche answers. So just try to answer in the flow,don’t focus on cramming the answers beforehand.

Question 10:Any other advice you would like to give to your juniors?

Answer: Just believe in yourself,placement process is really a tormenting process where at one place you will start believing that how much luck factor plays a role ,but trust me it is the combined effect of your luck and hard work which leads you to your destination.
