“Saurav” who was placed at “Mylo” talks about his interview experience and some other tips to prepare for placement season. Check out what he says about the placement season.

Here are the questions we asked from Saurav to know about his interview experience.
Question 1:Introduce yourself to the readers.
Answer: Hello everyone, I am Saurav goyal. I am currently pursuing Electronics Instrumentation and Control. I have recently got placed in Mylo. It’s an app for women who are expecting a baby. And I love playing football and listening to music.
Question 2:Describe your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).
Answer: The written test was based on Aptitude. Questions related to Profit loss, speed of the train, etc. All important portion of aptitude was covered well. The test was quite simple, the main round was the interview round.
The type of test platform was mettl.
For this round, I prepared from IndiaBIX, it has lots of good questions that I practiced which helped me a lot. Along with that, there is one youtube channel named career ride, it has some shortcuts for solving these types of questions.
Question 3:Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any)(please share coding questions if possible).
Answer: There were 2 rounds of technical interview.
In the first round, they first asked me the code of the tower of Hanoi problem. It is in C++. Then they asked several questions from OOPS. In the end, they provided me a link when I opened that link, a leet code compiler opens. The question was related to the string. They want 100 percent submission of test cases. Then they asked some questions from SQL.
In the second round, they asked me to give my introduction, Then they asked me questions on the topic of the Operating system. Then they asked me bubble sorting and one pattern problem.
Question 4:Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: In the HR interview, they first asked me about my family background. What are their occupation and other common questions. Then they asked me about the company working and Why Mylo?

Similarly, they asked more general questions which is particularly asked in every HR round.
Question 5:Key factors for your selection.
Answer: Key factors for my selections:
They liked that I have done some different from my branch. That is I learned Operating systems, DBMS.
I was doing electronics and software side by side.
My coding was good. So in spite of being from the electronics branch, I got a job in a software company.
Question 6:What are the things students should focus on in order of priority?
Answer: Students should first decide their potential and interest. Whether to go in electronics or software or any other field.
We can’t do both sides by side. It is always a possibility that they will ask something which we might never hear. So try to give the best in the field of your interest along with seeking the number of opportunities it will have ahead in the future.
Question 7:Advice to juniors for technical skills they should develop.
Answer: If one wants to go to the CORE of electronics, then one should focus on digital, electronics, and control systems. Microprocessors and microcontrollers coding also helps a person a lot for getting a job in the electronics field.
For software jobs, one should focus on operating systems, SQL, DSA.
Question 8:According to you, what role does extra curricular activities as well as participation in societies play?
Answer: I don’t have much idea as I was not a part of many societies.
It will help you to add something nontechnical to your resume. It shows your time management. It also enhances your teamwork skills and leadership qualities.

Question 9:What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?
Answer: For the HR round of this company, one should know about the vision and mission of the company. There are some common questions asked in the HR round irrespective of the company, so one should be prepared.
Question 10:Any other advice you would like to give to your juniors?
Answer: Don’t take much stress. It not very difficult to clear placement rounds. There will be lots of opportunities available. So just be consistent with your hard work and the end result will be fruitful.
