Here are the questions we asked from Shubham Khurana to know about his interview experience.
Question 1:Introduce yourself to the readers.
Answer: Hi, I’m Shubham Khanna , Final year Student of Computer Engineering at TIET Patiala. I had a great journey at Thapar, full of fun, adventure and hobbies in my first year, to involving myself into gym sessions and playing basketball in the second. From performing magic tricks at hostel nights to building up a magnetic personality, this college has really given me chances enough to evolve myself every week, and every semester.
Question 2:Describe your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).
Answer: The written test was taken on an online Cisco Webex Platform, where there were 4 sections, Aptitude, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, and Electronics, followed by 5 rounds of interviews, comprising 3 rounds of Technical interviews, 1 directorial round, and 1 HR round.
The Technical Interviews were based around Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, some puzzles from gfg, Projects that I had mentioned in my resume, and some C-based output questions involving pointers. For coding problems, I was asked to explain the approach, and was asked to write the complete working code on a coderpad.io instance.
The Director round was basically on projects and lots and lots of HR questions.
The HR round was standard where I was asked about my college journey.
All rounds except HR, lasted for 1 hour each. And at last 4 students were selected, and I was one of them.
Question 3:Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any)(please share coding questions if possible).
Answer: The Test was held online on Cisco Webex platform. The test consisted of various sections like Aptitude, Data Structures and Algorithm and a section on Electronics as well. The test also had negative marking so I carefully attempted the Test. Another Technical round was held in the Morning to filter out students for the next Technical Round, and it consisted of easy coding questions. After that, the rounds began to heat up and questions regarding Data Structures and Algorithm, Operating system as well as about my project was asked. Third Technical round consisted a lot of questions from C, pointers and DSA obviously as well as puzzles were asked. After that Final round Technical – Directorial Round was held were I was asked about my projects. The Interview went very well and Interviewee was friendly as well.
Question 4:Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: HR round was held after the Technical round and I was asked about my background like “Why I came to Thapar?”, “Tell me about your Journey”. General Questions were asked.
Question 5:Key factors for your selection.
Answer: Practice is the key factor for your selection. Also, most important, you should be thorough with Resume and mention whatever is true to the best of your knowledge. Communication skills play an important role.
Question 6:What are the things students should focus on in order of priority?
Answer: Its all about Timing, plan your things properly and develop habit of coding in C or C++.Apply for Internships and gain experience. Try to do Projects!

Question 8:What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?
Answer: Most people say “Be Yourself!”, but I think this doesn’t play a key role. You need to prepare for some questions like “Why you joined Thapar?”,” Why you want to join our company?”, your Strength and weaknesses through which they check your communication skills. You should be thorough with the basic HR questions.
Question 9:Any other advice you would like to give to your juniors?
Answer: Enjoy your College life and get into Sports! Enjoy a Movie Marathon and whatever you like!
