Here are the questions we asked from Paras to know about his interview experience.
Question 1: Introduce yourself to our readers.
Answer 1: I am a hardworking person and always eager to learn new things. I believe in the fact that ” Because of your smile, you make life more beautiful” 🙂
Question 2: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).
Answer: One online coding test was conducted on hackerearth coding platform.Test consists of three questions : two of 30 marks and one of 40 marks. 30 marks questions were moderate and 40 marks question was hard. Each question had 10 test cases and partial scores were also given based on number of test cases passed.
Question 3: Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: There were 4 interviews (2 technical + 1 managerial + 1 HR). Following are the Technical Interviews.
- Technical Round 1: Introduce yourself and then basic discussion about all the projects. Also asked about any new technology used in project. (1) Middle of a linked list (2) Nth node from end (3) Clone a linked list (4) A dictionary of words is given. Find a path to convert string1 to string2 such that you can change one character of string1 at a time. Also both the strings and all the intermediate words during conversion should be available in dictionary. (eg. cat -> mat -> man -> van)
- Technical Round 2: The interviewer asked me how many questions I solved in online round and discussed the logics. (1) Given two strings string1 and string2, find the smallest substring in string1 containing all characters of string2 efficiently eg: string1: “this is a test string” , string2: “tist” Output string : “t stri” (2) Given that integers are read from a data stream. Find median of elements read so for in efficient way.
Question 4: Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.
Answer: There was one Managerial Round and one HR round:
- Managerial Round: Introduce yourself. Detailed discussion on projects. Crosschecking my answers. 1 technical question just to check logic: -> Reverse a string without using any extra memory.
- HR round: The questions were quite basic that are easily available online. The one i remember (1) Two things you have improved upon (2) What will you do to make other people understand you easily (3) Some basic conversation just to crosscheck my answers
Question 5: What do you think were key factors for your selection?
Answer: I didn’t give up while solving any question during the interview and interacted with the interviewer as much as i could. Didn’t hesitate to ask any kind of doubts from interviewer.
Question 6: What would you like to advise juniors for technical skills they should develop for this company?
Answer: Have a hands-on experience on any object oriented language. Be prepared to answer any kind of questions relating to your projects. (Better to have one working project )
Question 7: What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?
Answer: Just be honest and carry a smile throughout your interview.
