Our UnsaidTalks Team had a talk with Mr. Tarang who is Thapar University Alumni, class of 2016. He got placed in ZS Associates and is working with the company for about more than a year. We asked following questions to him regarding the work and culture of ZS Associates:

Rate the Company for Freshers: 7/10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best)

Question 1. Give some words about the work culture of the company.

Answer. The work culture is utterly friendly and comforting. People are very supportive and are eager to help their colleagues. The only caveat here is their long working hours but it is not really a problem in such a good team.

Question 2. Which Facilities are provided by company to employees?

Answer. Following facilities are provided to us:

  • Three time free meal
  • cab facility
  • Medical insurance
  • Gym

Question 3. How challenging is your Job ? (Rate it on scale of 5, 5 being toughest)

Answer. 3/5. It’s moderately challenging.

Question 4. How you acquired skills required in your current Job?

Answer. I was trained by the company itself when I joined.

Question 5. Do company provides any chance for Higher studies ?

Answer. Yes

Question 6. Are you satisfied with the initial package offered and hike provided by the company?

Answer. No

Answer. More than 10 Students

Interview difficulty level: 7/10 (1-very easy, 10-very Difficult)

Here are the questions we asked from Abhishek to know about his interview experience.

Question 1: Describe Your written test experience specifying the number of rounds, details of each round and type of test platform ( If online mention the type of test platform eg. Hackereart, CoCubes, Amcat etc).

Answer: The written test was in-house, online and linear, developed by the company itself. There were 4 sections – Attention to Detail, Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. All sections were easy, so speed is of importance.

Question 2: Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any).

Answer: There was one case study interview. Each shortlisted candidate was given a case study to solve in 30 minutes. It wasn’t subjective, as most other case studies, but quantitative. After the 30 minutes, each student was called in for 15 minutes to discuss his answers to the questions in the case study (there were 4 of them).

Don’t worry if you have got the answers wrong, the approach is more important here, which you can explain while giving the interview. Stay calm, carry your common sense with you and you will do fine.

Question 3: Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round.

Answer: There were two HR interviews, both of them were a mixture of puzzles and general questions like “Why ZS?”, “Why should we hire you?”.

Question 4: What do you think were key factors for your selection?

Answer: Well rounded CV, staying calm in the case study interview when the interviewer was putting a lot of pressure, Illustrating logical approach to solving the puzzles.
