Question 3: Describe your all HR interview specifying number of rounds and details of each round.

Answer:There was only 1 round after the written test. It was a skype interview, there were two interviewers one for technical and one for HR. First they tested technical part which included conceptual questions with real life examples from C, C++, Java, Database , OS and simple coding question (only approach was to be discussed). Then projects were discussed. After that they asked HR questions which were purely based on your past experience, examples of where you did team work and handled challenges, in these type of questions you need to follow the famous STARR approach. Some of the technical questions were: Memory Leak, public and private inheritance with real life example, virtual destructor, Interfaces in java and their equivalent in C++, Difference between drop, delete and truncate etc.

Question 4: What do you think were key factors for your selection?

Question 5: What would you like to advise juniors for cracking Technical round of this company?

Answer:Apart from the coding practice( data structures and algorithms), focus equally on OS, Database, OOPS and other CS subjects. They play major role in your selection as it test your knowledge about CS. Don’t cram anything and relate it to real life. You will get through.

Question 6: What would you like to advise juniors for cracking HR round of this company?

Answer:HR round plays equal role as technical for SHELL interviews. They test your team working skills, and how you manage multiple tasks at a time. So give proper time to it. Follow the STAR approach while giving any answer and focus on what YOU did in a team. Prepare all your stories for past team experiences and projects in advance and just stay calm and confident. Believe in your preparation.
