Question 2:Describe Your written test experience specifying number of rounds ,details of each round and type of test platform(online -amcat,hackerearth etc offline)

Answer: Only one round of online test of duration 120 min and platform is LUGO-test.There were 50 general aptitude and technical MCQ questions with easy level difficulty which you can clear with little to no preparation. Other than that there is one short coding question which is “detection of loop in a Linked list”.
For technical question – prepare for Unix commands, DBMS, computer Networks, operating systems and Data structures and Algorithms topic’s general MCQ questions.

Question 3:Describe your all technical interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any)(please share coding questions if possible)

Answer: So there were 3 rounds of face to face interviews. That was conducted after a week from online test. From online test they shortlisted 131 students for interviews. There were 2 technical interviews and 1 HR interview.
My first interview was taken by panel of 2 interviewers. It was very basic and simple. The interviewer asked me to tell about myself and then they start asking about things from my resume. Most of the time they just discussing non technical things like Amdoc’s placement talk, companies visited Thapar, general environment in Thapar students about their company and students mindset regarding placements. By these discussion they were impressed by my views on these topics. The whole round is of 40 minute but only 1 coding question is asked to me which i answered easily. The question is “How to find out the size of integer variable if we don’t know about the compiler on which we are compiling our code – without using inbuilt function like sizeof()”. Other than that there was a quiz about Prisoners and hat( https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/puzzle-75-prisoners-hat/ ). The interviewers gave me hints even then i don’t able to solve that.
Second round is straight up quizzes and aptitude questions taken by another panel of 2 interviewers.Puzzle problem is – Burning the rope( https://sbjoshi.wordpress.com/2008/06/04/puzzle-burning-ropes/ ), I solved this one. Some probability question and simple maths problems like angle between clock hands at given time etc. Other questions were like
-Tell me about your internship
-What are your best moment in life
-What are your future goals
-Where you see yourself in 5 years
-Time when you struggle the most during projects and how you handle that

Question 4:Describe your all HR interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round

Answer: There were only one HR round which is quite short, about 10 minutes. All the questions were basic HR questions like :
-How was your day?
-Tell me about your family background.
-Preferred location Pune/Gurgaon.
-Why do you want to join Amdocs.
-Are you looking for higher studies.
-What are your strengths and weaknesses.

Question 5:Key factors for your selection

Answer: Confidence
Honesty
Hands on projects(atleast 1)
Basic understanding of a complete software development process

Question 6:Advice to juniors for technical skills they should develop

Answer: -Be good listener and always keep smile on your face.
-Show confidence in your speech. Say No if you don’t know a thing about a topic. Instead of shouting out a random irrelevant answer with confidence, be smart enough to express that you are not sure about the answer and would definitely find it out. Having a dishonest employee is the last thing a company wants.
-All organisations expect you to have a minimum knowledge about the various concepts and subjects you studied during your degree or academics.
-Most of the companies don’t much care about your knowledge, they only want to know your state of mind regarding problem solving and being a team player.

Note: If you want to be confident, code regularly, even if it a small program. Start doing competitive questions as soon as possible.
If you the above, you don’t have to prepare for placements.

Question 7:Advice to juniors for cracking HR round

Answer: All HR questions are straight forward which you can prepare before hand. If you clear previous rounds with ease then you don’t have to worry. Else show confidence in dedication and willingness to work hard as a team person.
And never say ‘Yes’ for looking for higher studies even if you thought about that.
